Aamir Liaquat Hussain Biography

Aamir Liaquat Hussain is known for being the host of Aalim Online and religious programs on Pakistan Television. He is a politician, actor, broadcaster, and anchorperson from Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. Husasin was born on 5 July 1971 at Karachi. He has been the host of the TV program Aalim Aur Aalam on ARY Digital since 6 August 2010 previously appearing on Geo News hosting the show Aalim Online. Aamir Liaquat Hussain contested 2002, he was elected to the National Assembly affiliated party with Muttahida Qaumi Movement. He resigned from his post a member of the National Assembly and from his seat as the Minister of Religious Affairs in 2007.

Geo TV

As host he did his first program on Geo Television Network. The show was called Aalim Online. Shortly after a broadcast in 2008 in which a guest implied it is legal to kill members of the Ahmadi religion due to Blasphemy, two Ahmadis were killed.

ARY Network

In 2010, he joined ARY Digital Network. There he participated in Ramadan special transmissions for Sahoor and Iftaar, just like he had on Geo TV. In 2011, however, the program took an entirely new format and was titled Rahman Ramadan.

On 21st June, 2012 Aamir Liaquat announced in his show Aalim aur Aalam on ARY Digital that he is leaving ARY Digital Network and rejoined Geo TV Network in June, 2012.
