Aijaz Aslam, Ayesha Khan, and Neelam Munir in Geo’s 'Dil Ishq'
Remember Geo’s blockbuster play Bashar Momin starring Faisal Qureshi and Ushna Shah which created waves with its amazing style statement? Well expect the same from the channel’s upcoming play Dil Ishq.
Starring a dapper looking Aijazz Aslam in the male lead and Ayesha Khan and Neelam Munir as his female counterparts, Dil Ishq will be gracing your screens right after Eid-ul-Fitr on Geo Television with a total of 24 episodes.
Produced by Aijaz Aslam himself, while it has been written by Aneeza Syed, the story, screen play, and concept is by Faysal Manzoor Khan. Dil Ishq is directed by Syed Ali Raza Osama (of Bashar Momin fame) and Pakistan Idol winner Zarmad Baig has sung the OST of the play. The serial also stars Sohail Asghar, Kamran Jilani, Shabbir Jan, and Amir Qureshi in a very crucial roles.
Faysal Manzoor Khan states that “all the characters in this drama have shades of gray. None of them are black or white as we wanted to show characters that people could relate to.”
DIl Ishq is the story of a bright, young student Bakhtawar (Neelam Munir) who lives with her crippled father (Sohail Asghar). Feroz (Kamran Jailani), a boy in her neighborhood, is constantly making passes at her even though she has said No many times. She is about to get married and move to the US when a series of events take place making everyone think that Bakhtawar is actually going to run off with Feroz; hence the wedding is called off. When that happens, the father makes a phone call and tells the person on the other side of the phone that it’s time to pay his dues.
